How to lock or unlock bio metric of aadhar card to secure your Aadhar card information?

Yester day I went to a store for KYC of  my mobile phone. when I put my finger on the finger print detection machine after aadhar card input. It shows finger print does not match. I was worried that what happened to my finger or my finger print of aadhar card . I return back to my home. after some time I open the mAadhar app from my mobile it showed me " BIOMETRIC is lock". Then I understood that I the reason behind the problem. Then I thought that I am not the only one who faced the problem. Everyday so many people face the same thing. So how you will do when you face problem like that?

To Unlock the biometric of Aadhar card go the https://www.uidai.gov.in . There you get a option Lock/Unlock Biometrics . Click on the link .
It will open a new page . In the new page put your aadhar number and image code in the box.
Click on the get OTP.
The OTP will received on the aadhar register mobile number. ie the number register in the aadhar card.
Put the OTP in the box and click on login.
Now you can see your bio-metric status.

What are the advantage of the Locking the Aadhar card information

how to update adhar card information online

Now UIDAI make more simple process to correct your aadhaar data. You can update or correct your name , DOB(Date of Birth) , Gender, Address, Mobile Number and email address. If you did not register your email address at time of aadhaar registration now you can add your email address to your aadhaar.
The online update can done at UIDAI's self service portal https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/update .

To start this process open the portal. In the first page enter aadhaar number and given image code in the appropriate box and click on the Send OTP button. The system will send a sms containing a one time password to the register mobile number and redirect to next page. In the next page enter the OTP  in box and click on the log in button. If OTP is correct , another page will open that will show the options which data you want to correct. Check the boxes which data you need to update from the list and click on the submit button. In the next page you get the option to enter the correct information on the basis of your choice. After filling the information click on submit request fro update. If you choose request for mobile number update or e-mail address then OTP will be send to your new mobile number and email address. in the next page put the OTPs to appropriate box(es) and press submit button. If any update request made except mobile number and e-mail address the person have to upload supporting document for the given information. The supporting document must upload in given format only and it should the within 2mb only. Then select the service provider and click on the submit button. After all these steps complete an  Update Request number will generate. Using this number you can check your update request. You can download your update request acknowledgement.

Link aadhar caerd and pan card by SMS

Now you can easily link your pan card ti your aadhar card. Income tax department introduce a new system that enable pan card holder to link hus or her pan card with aadhar card by sms. Incometax department published a notice regarding this. If his data's are match with aadhar card and pan card . 567687 or 56161 these two number are used for this process.

How you can do this ? To link your pan card and aadhar card open your message . Crate new message and type

 UIDPAN <SPACE> 12 digit aadhar card no <SPACE> 10 digit pan card number ie UIDPAN 123456789123  UPCXE1234K   and send it to  56768 or 56161।

Or you can link it from online from income tax department website. A new link provided ti their site. In this process a otp will come to user mobile ie the mobile number register with the aadhar card. If the data matche with aadhar card and pan card the link  process will complete.

Link Aadhaar card with pan  by a simple sms from your mobile . You have to type in your new sms UIDPAN < SPACE> 12 digit Aadhaar  card number < SPACE>  10 digit  PAN number and send it to 567678 or 56161 . eg you have to send this like UIDPAN 123456789123  UPCXE1234K  . it will work when your pan card name and aadhaar card name are identical . if not you need to log in incometaxefilling portal to register your aadhaar number .
