Sub: Preponement of Summer Vacation
This notification is in compliance with the Memo No.590-SED/Admin Date: 18.04.2024 of School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, all the recognized schools under the academic/administrative jurisdiction of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education except for those schools located in the hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts, are hereby notified that considering the prevailing heat wave situation, the summer vacation stands preponed w.e.f. next Monday i.e. 22.04.2024. The schools of the hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts existing academic schedule may continue until further order.
The teaching and non-teaching staff shall enjoy the leave as a special case during the period or till the schools reopens, subject to the directions issued by concerned Election Authorities in view of ensuing Parliament General Elections, 2024, and/or when required for fulfilment of activities and responsibilities for execution of various student's welfare programmes of Government of West Bengal, and/or for any special direction issued by School Education Department, Government of West Bengal and/or West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Subsequent to re-opening of schools as per WBBSE Notification No. DS(ACA)/131/A/25/4, dated 01.04.2024, the Teaching/ Non-teaching staff of schools are to make suitable arrangements, appropriate to the institution, in the interest of the students, for conducting extra classes to offset the losses of classes due to proponent of summer vacation as stated above.
All Head of the Institutions of schools are requested to take necessary action accordingly.
This is issued in partial modification of earlier notifications in this regard, with the approval of the President, Ad Hoc Committee, WBBSE.

বিষয়: গ্রীষ্মকালীন ছুটির প্রস্তুতি
এই বিজ্ঞপ্তিটি মেমো নং 590-SED/প্রশাসনের তারিখ: 18.04.2024 স্কুল শিক্ষা বিভাগ, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ডের একাডেমিক/প্রশাসনিক এখতিয়ারের অধীন সমস্ত স্বীকৃত স্কুলগুলি ছাড়া দার্জিলিং এবং কালিম্পং জেলার পার্বত্য অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত স্কুলগুলিকে এতদ্বারা অবহিত করা হচ্ছে যে বিরাজমান তাপপ্রবাহ পরিস্থিতি বিবেচনা করে গ্রীষ্মকালীন ছুটি আগে থেকেই ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। পরের সোমবার অর্থাৎ 22.04.2024। দার্জিলিং এবং কালিম্পং জেলার পার্বত্য এলাকার স্কুলগুলি পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত চালু থাকতে পারে।
আসন্ন সংসদ সাধারণ নির্বাচন, 2024, এবং/অথবা পূরণের জন্য প্রয়োজন হলে সংশ্লিষ্ট নির্বাচন কর্তৃপক্ষের দ্বারা জারি করা নির্দেশাবলী সাপেক্ষে শিক্ষক ও অশিক্ষক কর্মচারীরা নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে বা স্কুলগুলি পুনরায় চালু না হওয়া পর্যন্ত ছুটি উপভোগ করবেন। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের বিভিন্ন ছাত্র কল্যাণমূলক কর্মসূচী এবং/অথবা স্কুল শিক্ষা বিভাগ, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার এবং/অথবা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা বোর্ড কর্তৃক জারি করা কোনো বিশেষ নির্দেশের জন্য কার্যক্রম এবং দায়িত্ব।
WBBSE বিজ্ঞপ্তি নং DS(ACA)/131/A/25/4, তারিখ 01.04.2024 অনুসারে স্কুলগুলি পুনরায় খোলার পরে, বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক/অশিক্ষক কর্মীদের প্রতিষ্ঠানের জন্য উপযুক্ত ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে , শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বার্থে, উপরে উল্লিখিত হিসাবে গ্রীষ্মকালীন ছুটির প্রস্তাবকের কারণে ক্লাসের ক্ষতি পূরণের জন্য অতিরিক্ত ক্লাস পরিচালনার জন্য।
বিদ্যালয়ের সকল প্রতিষ্ঠান প্রধানকে সেই অনুযায়ী প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের জন্য অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে।
এর অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষে এই বিষয়ে পূর্ববর্তী বিজ্ঞপ্তিগুলির আংশিক পরিবর্তনে এটি জারি করা হয়

NOTIFICATION
In view of the Parliamentary General Elections 2024, to be
conducted in the slate of West Bengal in 7 phases and considering that most of
the schools also act as polling stations for the said elections, it is hereby
notified that the Schools under WBBSE, shall remain closed between:
a) 16,h April, 2024 (Tuesday) to 20lh April, 2024 (Saturday)
(05 days) only in the districts of Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri,
going for elections in phase 1, to be held on 19th April, 2024.
b) 24lh April, 2024 (Wednesday) to 27,h April, 2024
(Saturday) (04 days) only in the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Uttar
Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, going for elections in phase 2, to be held on 26lh
April, 2024. c) Summer Holidays stand.revised from 6,h May, 2024 (Monday) to
2IKl June, 2024 (Sunday) (22 days excluding holidays and Sunday).
This is issued in partial modification of this office
notification issued vide no.D.S.(Aca)/587/A/25/4 dt. 20/12/23. This also has
the approval of the President,
Ad-Hoc Committee, WBBSE in exercise .of power contained in Sub Section 2 of Section 28 of the WBBSE Act, 1963 (as amended from time to time).
